Time Management is a Huge Problem!

Time management is the huge problem even in a structured work environment, and the job search is not a structured environment unless you make it so. Time management takes leadership and engagement which means a deep connection between ‘what’ you do and ‘why’ you do it. Connect with your passion; design your job search; and be at the cause. There are only 24 hours each day. There is simply not enough time in the day to get all the work done.

How many of you find it challenging to decide on goals, develop effective strategies, and create a list of tactics to take action on?

How many of you ever have a hard-time keeping your positive attitude?

Your personal perspective directly impacts how you choose to see time and how you invest your time in your job search. Connecting what you do each day with what is most important to get the results you’re looking for is an important link. Your current job search and running a company in the current economic environment is probably the most difficult job you will ever have. Structuring your plan based on what’s right, what you want, and developing solutions will effectively raise your level of intensity, effectiveness, and provides a feeling of certainty and satisfaction. Owners and job seekers often end up working on the minutiae of the their work and numerous daily problems instead of focusing on the most effective strategy and tactics. Consequently the creative and innovative aspect of the search does not get sufficient time. Making conscious decisions about how to use time helps you derive more satisfaction and results from your search.

Your personal perspective directly impacts how you choose to see time and how you invest your time running your business or searching for a job. Connecting what you do each day with trying to get the results you’re looking for is a critical relationship to nurture. Ultimately the passion and purpose of your life is what generates the endless positive energy you require to persist, create, and innovate each day. Take the time to structure your daily activities based on what’s right for you and what you want, while having a consistent focus on developing solutions. This perspective will effectively raise your level of intensity, effectiveness, and provides a feeling of certainty and satisfaction. We often end up working on the minutiae of our daily tasks and numerous daily problems instead of focusing on the most effective strategy and tactics to make your job search or business successful. Consequently the creative and innovative aspect of the work does not get sufficient time. By making the decision to use time the way you choose, you will obtain more satisfaction and better results from your work.

How many of you have taken the time to put together a written business and job search plan and to analyze the most effective ways to implement it?

How do we manage time and then go beyond managing it to fill each moment with meaning? When we know the purpose behind each activity, time becomes a means for achieving our objectives and living our values.

How do you view time? Do you feel the need to control it, or, is it part of the process of life you have full control over?

Our biggest mistake is not realizing that self-awareness is the key. When you recognize that managing time is a problem in your life, you can begin to observe what’s happening and use it as a chance to learn and grow from instead of being frustrated and fighting it.

Each day we experience numerous lifechallenges. The good news is that we have effective tools to solve these challenges. Begin to realize that time is one of our allies. Live in the moment because each moment is an opportunity to learn and grow, to contribute and make a positive difference, and to solve problems. The level of success you achieve will depend on how evolved your perspective is.

Here is your assignment:

Make a list of your ultimate life goals and consider how your business strategies align with achieving them. Consider your upcoming ‘to do’ list and what the purpose is behind each activity. By aligning who you are with what you do it leads to better quality decisions, a higher level of engagement, and more effective time management.
